You practice being honest here. That only works if you know exactly what happens to what you write. This is the whole picture, in plain language.
What we store
Your email and a hashed password (we never see the password itself). Your onboarding quiz answers. Your progress: which skills you've completed, streaks, and points. And the things you write during lessons — your baseline responses, rewrites, practice-conversation transcripts, and commitments.
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers.
Who reads what you write
An AI, not a person. Your lesson writing is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your coaching feedback and to run a safety check. Under Anthropic's API terms it is not used to train their models. No human at LMYSI reads it in the normal course of running the app.
The safety check looks for crisis signals so we can point you to real help instead of a chatbot exercise. When it triggers, we record only that it happened and the category — never the text itself.
Services we rely on
Supabase (database and sign-in), Anthropic (AI coaching), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), PostHog (usage analytics), and Vercel (hosting). Each receives only what its job requires.
Analytics events describe what happened — “lesson completed”, “checked in” — never the content of what you wrote.
If you're in the EU or UK, analytics stays off unless you allow it — we ask once, and declining changes nothing about how the app works. To change your answer later, clear this site's data in your browser and we'll ask again.
Progress and reminder emails can be turned off any time from your account page or the unsubscribe link in any of them. Billing emails always arrive — those are about your money.
Deleting everything
Your account page has a delete button. It works immediately and permanently: your writing, progress, streaks, and account are erased, and any active subscription is cancelled on the spot. Stripe retains its own billing records, as financial regulations require.
